Georgia Holds B2C Tourism Event in Beijing

Chinese consumers experienced Georgia's unique charm up close at Beijing's Longfu Temple Art District, with an interactive B2C event organized by Dragon Trail on behalf of Georgian National Tourism Administration with the support of the Embassy of Georgia.

On 17 October 2025, Chinese consumers got to experience Georgia’s unique charm up close at Beijing’s Longfu Temple Art District, with an interactive B2C event organized by Dragon Trail International on behalf of Georgian National Tourism Administration (GNTA), with the support of the Embassy of Georgia in China.

Visitors got a taste of all four seasons in this up-and-coming travel destination, with VR skiing, wine and food tasting, pottery painting, dance performances, a Georgia knowledge quiz, and more. Those who collected all the activity stamps in their event “passports” could enter the event’s lucky draw.

The event featured numerous performances from Georgian dancers, alongside welcoming speeches and presentations from Georgia’s Ambassador to China, Paata Kalandadze, GNTA representative Teona Kalandadze, Dragon Trail’s Shawn Li, and others.

A second edition of the event will be held in Shanghai from 25-26 October, 2025. These consumer events to promote tourism to Georgia are being held in conjunction with GNTA’s three-city B2B roadshow from 16-23 October in Beijing, Shenzhen, and Shanghai.

In 2024, a record-breaking 89,000 Chinese travelers visited Georgia, representing an 83% year-on-year increase. It was one of travel website Mafengwo’s top 10 international destinations during the 2024 October National Day holiday, a top-growing destination for Chinese self-driving travelers on car rental platform Zuzuche in 2024, and one of OTA Tuniu’s top 10 long-haul travel destinations over the 2025 May Labor Day holiday.
