Destination Canada Light Course Launched on China Travel Academy

Following Canada's reinstated approval as a destination for group tourism from China in 2025, Destination Canada launched its new “Welcome to Canada” light training course for the Chinese travel trade, available through Dragon Trail’s China Travel Academy.

On 18 December 2025, Destination Canada launched its new “Welcome to Canada” light training course for the Chinese travel trade, through Dragon Trail’s China Travel Academy platform. Created on the occasion of Canada once again receiving approval as a destination for group tourism from China, the light course includes short videos covering three topics: Information on ADS (approved destination status), destinations, and travel inspiration from industry leaders.

The light course was launched with five videos, with new videos regularly added to keep the travel trade engaged and updated with fresh and useful content.

Dragon Trail edited the videos, using content from Canadian destinations, tour operators, and other Destination Canada partners, and they are available through the Canada Specialist Program, Canada’s marketing hub WeChat mini-program.

Official Canada Specialist certificate for travel agents who complete the training program

Dragon Trail promoted the new Canada Specialist Program in December through our partnership with the Ctrip (Trip.com Group) Offline Stores School, with certificates and specialist resources offered to the first 100 of Ctrip’s offline store travel advisors to complete the training program.
