Business Development Manager

Job Description

As Business Development Manager you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of existing clients and for developing and securing new business for the company. The successful candidate will work closely with the sales team based in Beijing and will be supported by the sales support and marketing teams. The position requires a solid understating of digital marketing and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Locate, develop, define, negotiate, and close sales opportunities Identify opportunities for campaigns and services that will lead to an increase in sales

  • Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization

  • Follow-up on assigned leads

  • Research and build relationships with new clients

  • Grow and retain existing accounts by presenting new solutions and services to clients

  • Work with internal colleagues to meet customer needs

  • Plan persuasive approaches and pitches that will convince potential clients to do business with the Company

  • Create tailor made professional and effective proposals

  • Work with team members to develop proposals that speaks to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives

  • Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs

  • Attend industry functions, such as events and conferences, sourcequalified leads and provide feedback and information on market trends

  • Using your knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators

  • Ensure that data is accurately entered in the company’s CRM and timely reflects of all sales activities and status

  • Prepare on time and conclusive regular reporting to the manager

  • Pro-actively communicate with management and team members as well as across the Company’s functional teams to optimize business opportunities

Skills and Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in business development/sales

  • Experience in online marketing/digital media/ travel industry

  • Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the creation and execution of professional proposals and presentations

  • Ability to work independently

  • Ability to perform parallel tasks with effective prioritization to meet deadlines

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Multicultural work experience preferred

  • Strong English and Mandarin skills with the ability to communicate in a clear and effective manner in writing and verbally

  • Detail oriented approach to all areas of work with strong organizational skills

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
