Beijing or Shanghai
As Market Development Manager you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of existing clients and for developing and securing new business for the company. The successful candidate will work closely with the sales team based in Beijing or Shanghai and will be supported by the sales support and marketing teams. The position requires a solid understating of digital marketing and excellent communication skills.
Perform market research, develop, negotiate, and close deals
Identify potential clients and the decision makers within the client organization and build relationships into sales opportunities
Develop new markets (regional, industry verticals etc)
Retain and grow existing accounts by presenting new solutions and services to clients
Create tailor-made professional and effective proposals and pitches
Attend industry functions, such as events and conferences to source qualified leads improve the Company’s visibility in the industry
Using your knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the Company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators
Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in business development/sales
Experience in digital marketing and/or travel a big plus
Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the creation and execution of professional proposals and presentations
Ability to create clear, logical and customized quotations
Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to work independently and build networks across the industry
Ability to quickly develop new commercial relationships and earn trust
Multicultural work experience preferred, especially in China
Excellent English language skills required
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
