Marina Bay Sands, Singapore
Now in its 10th year, ITB Asia is taking place at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore from October 25-27, 2017. The Asia-focused travel exhibition and conference is focused entirely on B2B, including both MICE and leisure tourism. Dragon Trail’s Business Development Manager, Andrea Biasi, will attend the event.
On ITB Asia’s opening day, TravelDaily China is organizing a two-hour event to look at China’s unprecedented growth in the outbound travel sector, with presentations on marketing, big data and millennial travellers. The panels include speakers from Ctrip, Meituan-Dianping and Hotelbeds, among others.
ITB Asia also includes many events around new technology and how to best use it for the travel industry. On October 26, Travel Wire Asia offers case studies of hotel travel providers that have increased revenue through successful storytelling and digital engagement; and travel metasearch engine KAYAK presents on engaging the Asia Pacific market with influencers and other destination content.
Overlapping with ITB Asia, the WiT (Web in Travel) conference is also held at Marina Bay Sands from October 23-25. On the 24th, Qunar co-founder Fritz Demopoulos and seed investor TechCrunch Crunchbase’s William Bao Bean discuss money and innovation in China, and Ctrip CEO Jane Jie Sun talks about taking the dominant Chinese OTA global. On the 25th, Melissa Yang, the co-founder of Chinese home-sharing platform Tujia, shares her insights on AI.
