Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) partnered with Dragon Trail to deliver an online MICE trade show to support Hong Kong hotels, convention centers and other MICE suppliers to develop business with mainland Chinese buyers of MICE and corporate travel.
More than 1,300 1-on-1 virtual meetings completed
The Hong Kong Virtual MICE Trade Show brought together more than 80 Hong Kong MICE suppliers to conduct business meetings and share information with more than 200 MICE buyers in mainland China, with virtual meetings, live presentations, and extensive informational resources to access and download on meetings, incentives, conventions, and exhibitions in Hong Kong.
The meeting platform remained live for two months, providing flexibility for sellers and buyers to request and conduct appointments. More than 1,300 1-on-1 virtual meetings were completed during this time period. Moreover, with regular promotion on Dragon Trail and other travel trade channels, it also helped Hong Kong MICE suppliers to build a large database of potential business partners.
During the first three days of the event, HKTB livestreamed conference sessions to mainland Chinese MICE agents to introduce MICE opportunities in Hong Kong. Sellers could also pre-record product presentations to be promoted to MICE buyers and visitors, and during interactive panel discussions, buyers could have their questions answered live. All presentation sessions were available for playback after their live broadcast.
