Qing Chen manages Dragon Trail’s Shanghai office, and oversees the company’s critical travel trade relationships in China. Qing Chen has more than 20 years of experience in the online travel industry in China and in Germany. During his career, he has successfully assisted multiple foreign companies enter the Chinese market. Prior to Dragon Trail, Qing Chen established a China presence for HanseMerkur, Germany’s second-oldest health insurance provider, and for Hotelzon, Finland’s leading online travel agency.

Qing Chen led operations at 4Oceans, one of China’s earliest travel distribution companies, later acquired by Blackstone. He was the first General Manger of China for Hotel Reservation System (HRS), one of Germany’s leading online travel agencies. Qing Chen holds a bachelor’s degree in German literature from Tianjin’s Foreign Language University and a master’s degree in German literature from Germany’s Ludwig-Maximilian University in Munich. Qing Chen has spent over 10 years working and studying in Germany and is fluent in Chinese, German and English.
