The Situation:

The European Travel Commission (ETC) is a non-profit organization responsible for the promotion of Europe as a tourist destination, working together with 32 member National Tourism Organizations. They asked Dragon Trail to help them create a Chinese website.

Our Work:

Dragon Trail developed ETC’s China-localized and -hosted website to inspire Chinese tourists to plan trips across multiple European destinations and explore Europe’s diverse cultures.

The website has been designed to ensure a good navigation experience. Chinese visitors are first prompted to explore Europe’s regions highlighted on a map. By clicking on a specific region, visitors are guided through detailed itineraries, experiences, country profiles and maps within one or two simple clicks.

The website provides links to the Chinese websites of each country’s tourism board for visitors to access country-specific information. The website is mobile responsive and connected to Google Maps’ API to make maps visible behind China’s firewall.
