Dragon Trail executes online campaign for Travel Alberta

Travel Alberta tasked Dragon Trail to increase brand awareness of Alberta as a travel destination to Chinese consumers and engage with the content of the recently launched Chinese website of Travel Alberta.

Each day, a puzzle consisting of an image in Alberta had to be solved by locating missing puzzle pieces that were randomly placed on the Chinese website.  A short description of the image was given to introduce the destination in Alberta, and to give a hint to solve the puzzle.  Each participant who completed one puzzle piece and shared it on the Sina Weibo micro blog received a lucky draw number.

One micro blog was posted on Sina Weiboto to give a brief introduction of the prize campaign, and the URL of the campaign site was revealed. Followers were encouraged to retweet the post to at least 3 friends to be qualified for a daily prize draw.

The result was an average page view of 20 pages per participant, and the followers on Sina Weibo Micro-blog doubled during the campaign period.
